A legal solution to child custody.

A child recovery order may be necessary when one parent relocates to a new address after separation with the children without the agreement of the other parent. In such scenarios, the other parent may apply for a Recovery Order under VII of Family Law Act 1975. The Court can make an order to return the children to a parent as well as prohibit a parent from removing the child from a place of residence.

I am Matthew Buckley, and I have been guiding separated parents who want to explore the legal options to have their children returned to them. As an experienced child custody lawyer in Sydney, I will provide advice regarding a recovery order application in the Court. Furthermore, if you are concerned that your spouse will attempt to take your child away from you, I will be able to help you in the following ways:

  • Take necessary legal steps to prevent the removal of the child from the state or Australia.
  • Obtain an urgent order from the Court to quarantine the child’s passport.
  • Communicate with police to prevent the parent from taking the child out of Australia.
  • Provide legal advice in circumstances where a parent has removed a child from Australia without consent.
